Typical planning range

  • Initial baseline and priority plan: usually 5–10 business days after required access and business information are available.
  • SEO implementation — Starting at $450 per month
  • First implementation cycle: usually begins within 2–4 weeks after scope approval, depending on access, technical condition, content readiness, and the amount of work included.
  • Ongoing work: organized in monthly cycles with a named priority, completed-work record, verification, limitations, and next decision.
  • The business wants documented priorities and completed work rather than unexplained monthly activity.
  • Important services, products, locations, categories, or customer questions need continued development.
  • The business can provide accurate information, authorized access, review, and approval.
  • The business can define which inquiries, purchases, visits, bookings, or other actions actually matter.
  • A redesign, migration, ownership recovery, or measurement-readiness project is required first.
  • One focused repair would solve the current problem more economically.
  • The requested strategy depends on fake locations, fake reviews, spam links, mass low-value content, or guaranteed rankings.
  • The only goal is more traffic without defining which customers, offers, markets, or actions matter.
  • The website, search, content, local, technical, conversion, or measurement work stated in the proposal
  • A completed-work record
  • Verification of the agreed changes
  • Source-labeled findings, limitations, and next actions
  • Guaranteed rankings, traffic, map placement, leads, sales, reviews, or revenue
  • Fake locations, fake reviews, bought links, spam content, or platform deception
  • Private-account analysis or implementation not named in the scope
  • Third-party costs unless expressly included

Timelines are planning ranges, not guarantees. Work begins after the required access, content, approvals, and initial payment are available. Provider delays, platform reviews, missing assets, scope changes, and client response time can extend the calendar.

First useful step

Send the current website or system, the business context, what is happening, and what matters most. Boho will review the visible situation and identify the smallest useful next step. A submitted inquiry is not an accepted project, quote, emergency response, or guarantee of availability.

This is a fit when

  • The website already has a usable foundation and a real reason to keep improving.

Start somewhere else when

  • The website is broken, inaccessible, or controlled by a provider the business needs to leave.

Example deliverable

A current priority and work plan

Boho does not guarantee rankings, map placement, traffic, calls, leads, sales, reviews, platform approval, or a specific business result. The work is evaluated through documented changes, measurable signals, and decisions supported by the evidence available.

A monthly retainer should have a job.

A recurring plan makes sense when the work is genuinely recurring. Search results change. Competitors publish and improve. Services, locations, products, and customer questions evolve. Websites accumulate technical debt. New content needs , measurement, maintenance, and follow-through.

That does not mean every business needs a retainer.

If one repair, audit, migration, or website project would solve the current problem more economically, Boho should recommend that instead. Ongoing work should continue because the next cycle has a useful purpose, not because cancellation has been made inconvenient.

This service is a good fit when

  • The website already has a usable technical and content foundation.
  • The business operates in a competitive local, regional, professional, or ecommerce market.
  • Important services, locations, categories, or customer questions need continued development.
  • Search visibility, content quality, site health, and customer paths need to improve together.
  • The business wants named priorities and documented work rather than a generic monthly task list.
  • The business can provide timely access, information, review, and approval.
  • The business can answer and qualify the additional inquiries it hopes to create.
  • The business wants reporting connected to decisions, not merely a larger collection of charts.

This service may not be the right first step when

  • The website is broken, inaccessible, or controlled by a provider the business needs to leave.
  • A full redesign or migration is required before ongoing work can be responsible.
  • Valid measurement does not exist and a or measurement-readiness project is needed first.
  • One focused repair would solve the visible problem.
  • Nobody can provide business information, review content, approve changes, or maintain accurate offers.
  • The requested strategy depends on fake locations, fake reviews, spam links, mass low-value content, or guaranteed rankings.
  • The only goal is “more traffic” without defining which services, products, locations, or matter.

What ongoing SEO may include

The approved monthly scope may combine several kinds of work. Not every item is performed every month, and a narrow plan should not be presented as unlimited access to every service Boho offers.

and site health

Boho may review and improve crawl access, indexation signals, , signals, , , internal links, page hierarchy, , structured information, mobile behavior, performance, and other technical conditions that affect whether important pages can be found, understood, used, and maintained.

Technical work is prioritized by likely business impact and risk. An audit tool can produce hundreds of warnings. It cannot decide which warning deserves the next dollar.

and market relevance

For eligible local and service-area businesses, work may include business-profile alignment, accurate business information, service and location structure, review-process guidance, local content, internal linking, competitor observation, and improvements to the pages people use when choosing a provider.

Boho does not create fake offices, fake service areas, fake reviews, or thin built only to capture city-name variations.

Service, category, and commercial content

Boho may plan, edit, improve, or build pages around the services, products, categories, markets, and questions most closely connected to business value. The goal is not to publish the largest possible quantity of material. The goal is to make useful commercial information easier to find, understand, compare, and act on.

Depending on the written scope, content work may include briefs, page structures, editing, internal-link plans, title and description improvements, consolidation, updates, or new page development.

Internal linking and

Search visibility and customer understanding both depend on how pages relate to one another. Boho may improve navigation, page hierarchy, contextual links, service and location relationships, category structure, orphaned-page access, and the path from educational material to relevant commercial pages.

Customer paths and conversion clarity

More visits are not useful when the wrong people arrive or serious prospects cannot find the next step. Work may include service positioning, page structure, , forms, phone links, booking paths, qualification language, trust information, and confirmation behavior.

Boho does not guarantee conversion rates, leads, sales, or revenue. It can identify friction, improve the system, and measure supported signals.

Analytics, reporting, and decision support

When usable historical data does not exist, Boho provides a measurement-readiness plan instead of inventing a baseline.

and answer-system visibility

Where relevant, Boho may improve the same foundations that help search engines, answer systems, and people understand the business: clear entity information, useful page structure, direct answers, accurate service details, content, source-worthy material, internal relationships, and consistent public information.

Boho does not sell a secret shortcut for placement in AI-generated answers. There is no responsible way to guarantee inclusion, citation, ranking, or recommendation by a search engine, , answer engine, or third-party platform.

Reporting-only or implementation?

Analyst-reviewed monthly reporting

Reporting-only plans are for businesses that want a clear explanation of their website and search data but do not need Boho making changes each month.

A reporting-only plan may include:

Reporting-only plans do not include website changes, content production, technical repair, custom tracking implementation, , managed email, or unlimited consultation unless the written scope expressly says otherwise.

Starting price: $95 per month

Ongoing implementation retainers

An ongoing plan combines that report with an agreed amount of search, content, website, local visibility, or measurement work.

The written proposal should state:

  • The websites, properties, markets, or locations covered
  • The included monthly work capacity
  • The kinds of work that may be performed
  • Communication and meeting expectations
  • Content responsibilities
  • Hosting or email benefits, if any
  • Third-party costs
  • The billing schedule
  • Any initial term
  • Cancellation and notice requirements
  • Work that remains outside the retainer

Starting price: $450 per month

The monthly operating cycle

1. Review the current system

Boho reviews the approved website, search, content, technical, local, customer-path, and measurement information available for the cycle.

2. Name the priority

The current priority should be stated in business language. Examples include improving a high-value service path, correcting a technical loss, strengthening one local market, repairing measurement, or consolidating weak content.

3. Complete the approved work

Boho performs the work included in the monthly scope. Material changes in direction, cost, access, or risk require approval rather than appearing later as an unexplained surprise.

4. Verify what changed

The relevant pages, links, , signals, deployments, or records are checked. Search engines and third-party may take additional time to recrawl, process, display, or react to changes.

5. Document the cycle

The monthly record explains what was completed, what was observed, what remains uncertain, what should happen next, and which possible tasks were deliberately deferred.

What you receive

The exact deliverables depend on the written scope, but an ongoing engagement may include:

  • A current priority and work plan
  • Completed website, , content, technical, local, or measurement work
  • A record of material changes
  • Source-labeled reporting
  • Data-quality and collection notes
  • Findings with evidence and limitations
  • Recommended next actions
  • Deferred-work notes
  • Updated documentation where affected systems change
  • An analytics baseline when usable data exists
  • A measurement-readiness plan when it does not
  • Hosting, deployment, or defined email administration when expressly included

What Boho needs from the client

Ongoing work depends on timely cooperation. The client may need to provide:

  • Authorized account access through the relevant provider
  • Accurate business, service, product, location, and pricing information
  • Existing brand, content, photography, policy, and offer materials
  • A responsible person who can approve changes
  • notice of business, platform, provider, or website changes
  • Information about , sales quality, seasonality, and operational capacity
  • Legal or professional approval for regulated or specialist claims
  • Timely payment and third-party provider decisions

Do not send passwords, recovery codes, private keys, payment data, or sensitive customer records through ordinary website forms or email. Boho will use an appropriate authorized-access method when an engagement requires access.

Pricing

Initial public review: Free

Analyst-reviewed monthly reporting: Starting at $95 per month

Ongoing SEO and implementation: Starting at $450 per month

The $95 starting report is intended for a small, straightforward reporting scope, such as one website, one primary property, a limited set of supported sources, one simple customer-action path, and a written report without implementation or a standing meeting.

The $450 starting implementation retainer is intended for a narrow but complete recurring scope, such as one website, one primary market, monthly review, one defined implementation priority, basic technical and search , and a written completed-work record.

Pricing increases with the number of websites, pages, templates, services, products, locations, markets, data sources, paths, content requirements, , meetings, technical conditions, and amount of implementation included.

See the detailed Pricing & Scope Guide

When an eligible paid SEO, technical, , or strategy review leads to a qualifying larger implementation engagement in the same category, Boho credits 100% of the eligible one-time review fee toward that engagement, subject to the published credit conditions.

The credit normally requires that the assessment has been paid in full, the later engagement concerns substantially the same business and system, the proposal is accepted within 90 days, and the original research remains materially usable. The credit has no cash value and does not apply to third-party costs, recurring reporting already delivered, hosting, priority premiums, or unrelated work.

Pricing notice

Public prices are general planning guidance in U.S. dollars, not quotes, binding offers, warranties, or commitments. Starting prices apply only to the smallest complete scope described. Final scope, price, timing, deliverables, exclusions, dependencies, ownership, support, service levels, and third-party costs are determined only through a specific written engagement.

Hosting and defined email service

Eligible website hosting and the specific email services named in the proposal may be included at no separate Boho service charge while an active qualifying implementation retainer remains current and in good standing.

Reporting-only plans do not qualify for included infrastructure.

The proposal should state exactly what is included, including the hosting platform, ownership, usage limits, responsibility, monitoring, , support, provider costs, email routing or mailbox scope, sending limits, retention, renewal, and exit treatment.

No website, hosting platform, provider, network, or email system is outage-proof. Any binding uptime, recovery, response, or support commitment must be stated in the written engagement.

When ongoing work should stop

Boho should recommend reducing, pausing, or ending a recurring engagement when:

  • The agreed objectives are substantially complete.
  • The remaining work no longer justifies the cost.
  • A focused project would be more economical.
  • The website needs a redesign, migration, or rescue before further SEO work is sensible.
  • Useful measurement cannot be established.
  • The client cannot provide required access, information, approval, or follow-through.
  • The business cannot responsibly handle additional demand.
  • The requested direction depends on deceptive, unsupported, or platform-prohibited tactics.

A retainer is not a membership fee for being allowed to ask what happened.

Evidence you can inspect

Boho does not currently publish invented client case studies, fictional testimonials, unsupported results, or ambiguous portfolio work.

Relevant public evidence may include:

These materials demonstrate method, engineering, documentation, and operating discipline. They do not guarantee that another business will receive the same search, lead, sales, or revenue outcome.

Questions before scope

Frequently asked questions

Clear boundaries make the next decision easier.

Do you guarantee rankings, traffic, leads, or revenue?

No. Search engines, answer systems, competitors, markets, customers, platforms, and the client’s own operations affect outcomes. Boho can define the hypothesis, complete agreed work, document decisions, and measure supported signals. It cannot responsibly guarantee a particular ranking, traffic level, lead count, sale, or revenue result.

How long does SEO take?

There is no universal timeline. Technical corrections may be deployed quickly, while crawling, , ranking, market response, and customer behavior can take longer and remain uncertain. The written proposal should distinguish the work schedule from the time external systems may take to react.

What happens every month?

Each cycle should name the current priority, complete the work included in the scope, verify relevant changes, document evidence and limitations, and recommend the next decision. The specific activity changes with the business need rather than repeating a ceremonial checklist.

What is the difference between reporting-only and implementation?

Reporting-only provides analyst review, interpretation, priorities, and a written decision record. Implementation includes an agreed amount of actual website, SEO, content, local, technical, conversion, or measurement work.

Do I need a redesign before starting SEO?

Not necessarily. A useful existing website may only need focused improvement. A redesign or migration should be recommended only when the current structure, platform, content, ownership, accessibility, performance, or customer path prevents responsible improvement.

Is local SEO included?

It can be. The proposal should state whether business-profile work, local , location structure, review-process guidance, local market analysis, and related implementation are included.

Is content included?

Only when the written scope says so. Content work may range from editing and page planning to new page development. Routine long-form writing, photography, specialist claims, and large content programs should not be assumed inside the minimum retainer.

Do you work on AI search visibility?

Boho may improve the underlying clarity, structure, crawlability, entity information, useful answers, and source quality that can help both people and automated systems understand a business. Boho does not guarantee placement, citation, or recommendation in AI-generated answers.

Are hosting and email included?

They may be included with a qualifying implementation retainer when the proposal expressly says so. Reporting-only plans do not qualify. The proposal defines whether email means routing, aliases, transactional messages, stored mailboxes, or another service.

Do you require a long contract?

The proposal states whether the engagement is month-to-month or includes an initial term, together with cancellation and notice requirements. Ongoing work should continue because it remains useful, not because leaving has been made deliberately painful.

Can we start smaller?

Often, yes. Boho may recommend one market, one service group, one technical problem, one measurement repair, or one high-value customer path first. A smaller scope still needs to be complete enough to produce a responsible result.

Who owns the accounts and work?

Boho generally prefers client ownership of durable business assets such as domains, analytics properties, , business profiles, content, and major platform accounts. Exact ownership, licensing, access, and handoff terms are stated in the written engagement.
