Call to action
A clear invitation that tells a visitor which useful action they can take next.
Also called: CTA, calls to action
Definition
A call to action can invite a visitor to call, request an estimate, book, buy, visit, compare, download, or continue learning. The label, destination, timing, prominence, and surrounding proof should match the visitor's decision stage.
Why it matters
A strong page can still fail when the next step is hidden, vague, unavailable, or mismatched to the offer.
Common misunderstanding
Changing button color alone is not conversion strategy; the offer, trust, page structure, form, response process, and business capacity also matter.
