Web form
An interface that lets a visitor submit structured information or request an action.
Also called: contact form, inquiry form, forms
Definition
A web form combines labeled controls, validation, a submission path, storage or notification behavior, success and error states, and an operational response process. Lead forms, booking forms, checkout, search, and account login are all form workflows.
Why it matters
A form is part of the lead system, not just a set of fields; delivery, spam handling, privacy, accessibility, and follow-up all affect whether it works.
Common misunderstanding
A successful on-screen message does not prove the submission reached the right person or system.
