Website clarity

How quickly a visitor can understand what a business offers, who it serves, why it matters, and what to do next.

Also called: clarity

Definition

Website clarity comes from a legible offer, useful hierarchy, specific language, appropriate detail, and an obvious next step. It is evaluated from the visitor's point of view rather than by how familiar the site feels to the business that owns it.

Why it matters

Confusion adds friction before a visitor can compare the offer, decide whether the business fits, or take a useful next step.

Common misunderstanding

Clarity does not require making every page short or visually plain. Complex services may need substantial explanation; the structure should make that detail easier to navigate.
